[Scene: T.O.W. Ross' Wedding] Monica: Guys, hurry up! The flight leaves in four hours! It could take time to get a taxi! There could be traffic! The plane could leave early! When we get to London, there could be a line of customs, Come on!!
Kevin Bright: London might've gotten started mainly because I felt like, while the show was popular we needed to take advantage of it and go someplace and do the show on an exotic location, and have a good time.
Matt LeBlanc: There's so many people walking around, you know? People from all over the world are here.
Matthew Perry: These last few episodes of the show have kind of been about us getting all excited to go to London, and then we realized that in real life, we're actually doing that same thing.
[Scene: T.O.W. Ross' Wedding] Monica: Passport, check! (As she puts away each item, she says check.) Camera, check! Traveller's cheques, check!
Rachel: Who are you saying "check" too?
Monica: Myself. Y'know for remembering to pack a thing. Yeah, you do a good thing, you get a check! (pause) My mom does it, I never realised it was weird.
Phoebe: Yeah, my mom used to put her head in the oven. Well, actually, she only did it the one time. But it was pretty weird.
Ross: (entering) Hey!
Monica: Hey!
Ross: Hey! Are you ready yet?
Monica: Yep! You got the tickets?
Ross: Oh! Got 'em right here, (Pats his coat pocket) check!
David Schwimmer: Yeah! London baby!
[Scene: T.O.W. Ross' Wedding] Joey: It's all London, baby! Here
we go.
Jennifer Aniston: Ross is getting married... to
this young woman named Em-Emily, and um, I set him up (laughs) by
accident.
[Scene: TOW all the Haste] Ross:
No, no, dont. Why dont we?
Emily: Why dont we what?
Ross: Get married.
David Schwimmer: I start
to fall for this character Emily played by Helen Baxendale, and
we dicided to, to go all the way, I guess.
Helen Baxendale: Ross asks me to marry him, and I say "yes".. and so we arrange a big wedding and note that things go a bit wrong.
Mrs. Geller: There's nothing to discuss. We're not paying for
your wine cellar.
Mr. Waltham: (Pleading.) You-you have to meet me in the middle here.
Mr. Geller: (Forcefully.) Hey, you keep pushing me on this, my foots going to meet the middle of your ass.
Ross: Dad!! (Emily comes running in.)
Emily: What-what's going on?!
Ross: Nothing, nothing. Everything's under control.
Mr. Waltham: You want a piece of me, sir? Is that what your saying? (Pointing at Jack and poking him) You want a piece of me?
Ross: (Stepping in between them.)Okay! Okay! That's it!! Parents!! Parents!! Back away!! All right, this is our wedding day! From now on everyone gets along, and if I hear one more word. NO GRANDCHILDREN! (Pointing at his mother.) That's right!!
Mr. Geller: Okay, okay.
Mr. Waltham: Sorry old boy, sorry. Sorry. Sorry. (Them all walk away. As he leaves he mutters to Jack.) I could kill you with my thumb, you know.
David Schwimmer:
We knew the show was popular in England, so it seemed like a
natural fit.
Courteney Cox Arquette: I knew how big the show was over here, and that part was really exciting for everybody, to be welcome.
David Schwimmer: Everywhere, walking down the street, I don't know if you see over there (points somewhere), bunches of kids watchin' and we're signing autographs.
Matthew Perry: They're just really big fans of the show over here, I guess.
Sarah Ferguson : I, I watch it all the time, I have all videos of it, because my children love it. They absolutely love it.
[Scene: TOW Ross'Wedding] Joey: Sh! Sh!
Fergie: Okay, so umm, what's your friend's name?
Joey: (on tape) Oh, Chandler.
Fergie: Hi Chandler! (Waves)
David Crane: We
want it to still feel like "Friends", uh, and so we
wanted to shoot a lot of it in front of an audience, and it
seemed like a really exciting opportunity to shoot an american
sitcom in front of a british audience.
[Scene: TOW Ross'Wedding]
Joey: Come on! Do something!
Chandler: I am, I'm ignoring you.
Joey: Okay, here! (Gives him the camera.) I wanna be the on camera guy. All right, first stop, Westminster Abbey (Joey folds out his "pop-up" map of London. All of the major landmarks pop-up like in a pop-up book.)
Chandler: Oh, what the hell is that?
Joey: It's London, baby!
David Crane: We were really afraid going over
that either, uh, they'd be far more sedate, the wouldn't laugh...
Marta Kauffman: They were great!
Kevin Bright: yeah.
David Crane: They were great! Big laughers.
Marta Kauffman: They waited in line for hours
Fan #1: We traveled 329 miles to be here today.
Fan #2: No, she's lying, it's more like 200.
Matt LeBlanc: The show's doing so well over here that it just seems, like that they're... like they're real real receptive.
Jennifer Aniston: It's, It's really quite wonderful, and flattering, and overwhelming truthfully.
Marta Kauffman: We didn't have a single bad audience in London.
Kevin Bright: Also there was a great sense of event which I think it energized everybody, the actors, the writers...
Matthew Perry: We're just really excited to be here. Like, look (poits over someplace) look how cool that is.
Marta Kauffman: We missed Lisa, we missed Lisa not being there. That was probably the only drawback I can think of.
Lisa Kudrow: First thing, I thought "How exciting, I wonder if I'm going? "
Jennifer Aniston: Oh, it's awful that she's, Lisa's not here, it's uh, we feel like we have a limb missing
[Scene: TOW Ross' Wedding] Phoebe:
Okay, this is going to be harder than I thought. Umm, let's try
some uh, aversion therapy.
Rachel: Okay.
Phoebe: Okay?
Rachel: All right.
Phoebe: So uh, now look at the picture...
Rachel: Okay.
Phoebe: All right, and umm... (She grabs the picture and smacks her in the head.)
Rachel: Ow!
Courteney Cox: It's always strange when one
person's not here. We miss her terribly.
Matt LeBlanc: It's a little weird that all of us be here without her. She is in the episode all the way through on the phone and things like that.
[Scene: TOW Ross' Wedding] Phoebe:
Hello.
Joey: (on phone) Hey, Pheebs! It's Joey!
Phoebe: Hey, Joey! Hey! Ooh! Ooh! I just say someone on the-that looks just like you on the subway. And I was gonna go over and say 'hi!' but then I figured, he doesn't care if he looks like you.
Lisa Kudrow: Part of me wishes I could go, but
I'm very happy not to get on a plane for a lot of hours (laughs).
I'm sorry, I'm not a good traveler.
[Scene: TOW Ross' Wedding]
Housekeeper: The Waltham Residence.
Phoebe: Oh...yes..is this..umm..Emily's Parents' house.
Housekeeper: This is the housekeeper speaking. And by the way, young lady, that is not how one addresses a person on the telephone. First one identifies oneself and then asks for the person with whom one wishes to speak.
Phoebe: (In a British accent) This is Phoebe Buffay. I was wondering, please, if-if it's not too much trouble, please, umm, might I speak to Miss Emily Waltham, please?
David Crane: It was also interesting because we
had already shot a third of it here.
Marta Kauffman: And a little bit on the streets in London.
[Scene: TOW Ross' Wedding] Joey:
All right! Westminster Abbey! Hands down, best Abbey I've ever
seen. Hey! (Pushes Chandler in front of the camera.) Okay. What
do you think of the Abbey, Chandler?
Chandler: I think it's great. It's great. Y'know, they're thinking of changing the name of this place.
Joey: Really? To what?
Chandler: To Put the Camera Away!!!
Joey: Man, you are Westminster Crabby. (He starts chasing Chandler towards the Abbey.)
David Crane: It's just a really gratifying
experience, pretty much everything we, we'd hope to get out of
it, we got.
